Lisa Laird, a former preschool and elementary school teacher, began using puppets in her classroom to enhance the learning environment after being introduced to the world of puppetry by her sons. Soon she was being asked to present programs at churches and libraries. In 2008 she "retired" from teaching to travel full-time throughout the Midwest with her cast of characters known as "Pockets Full of Fun."
The goal of Pockets Full of Fun is to provide programs for children and families which Entertain, Encourage and Educate. Lisa's shows include ventriloquism, puppetry, magic stories and lots of audience participation.
Lisa has four Gold Awards in ventriloquism competitions at the International Festival of Christian Puppeteers and Ventriloquists.
